And what it costs.
The values below come from completed local VocaVid jobs on the RTX 4080 setup used for the project. They are useful orientation, not a performance promise: model, resolution, VRAM, queue, prompt and ComfyUI version affect every generation.
What does a VocaVid project cost?
VocaVid itself does not charge per image or clip: generation runs on your computer with your installed models. The real costs are therefore compute time, electricity and, where applicable, licences or access costs for additional models.
How long does a music video take?
Clips and — if used — avatars are the biggest factors. The following averages come from the project’s local job database on an RTX 4080:

What do I need before I start?
Python 3.11+, a running ComfyUI instance, FFmpeg and a CUDA-capable GPU are the practical foundation. Specific models and custom nodes depend on the workflow you choose. The workflow reference is derived from the JSON files currently shipped with VocaVid.
Can I correct timing and segmentation manually?
Yes. After “Analyze + Split”, you can review the start and end of individual lines, groups of lines and instrumental passages in table mode. It is especially valuable before scene planning and rendering because all later stages rely on those segments.
Why would I still need Kdenlive?
VocaVid creates an editable Kdenlive project and can render an MP4 directly. Kdenlive remains the place for the last edit, titles, individual transitions or colour correction.
Are reels created automatically?
After the final MP4, VocaVid analyzes musically interesting sections, creates previews and exports the selections you approve vertically. The selection remains yours; the tool takes care of discovery and the technical export.
